Krista has worked at Wellington Parke since 2011. Krista has experience as a nurse aide and medication aide. Krista lives in Midwest City with her husband, daughter and their four rescue dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and is passionate about rescuing animals. Krista believes that Wellington Parke is not just a job, but it's a home away from home. She considers the residents part of her family and some of them consider her their best friend.
Marci Simmons is our Executive Director and full time Registered Nurse at Wellington Parke. Marci has specialized in Geriatric and long-term care since she graduated from Oklahoma City University Kramer School of Nursing in 2002. In addition to her nursing specialty Marci received her Long-Term Care Administrator licensure in 2004. She is also an experienced Long-Term Care Surveyor for the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
Bryan Newton is Wellington Parke’s head chef. Bryan received his education and training from both Francis Tuttle and OSU- Institution of Technology. Bryan has been at Wellington Parke since 2013. Since then, he has transformed the kitchen into a 90% scratch kitchen where all food is cooked to order. Bryan says that Wellington Parke allows him to spend time with his wife, daughter, and son. Bryan loves Wellington Parke because of the Christian environment, the residents, and the “residents first” attitude set by the owner. In 2016 Bryan finished as one of the top 5 chefs in the Oklahoma Silver Spoon competition.
Fidelia has been a part of Wellington Parke since 2012. She received her bachelors degree in Family Studies from Oklahoma Christian University in 2008. Fidelia has been working with seniors for over 10 years and greatly enjoys being part of her residents lives, she loves coming to work everyday. Fidelia especially enjoys being one of the first people potential residents and families meet. When away from work, Fidelia enjoys spending time with her husband and their three boys.
Sherra Belk is our Lifestyle Director in the Enriched Living- Memory Care Unit. She has a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Gerontology from Southern Nazarene University. She considers our elderly a gift to be treasured. Through her grandparents, Sherra has personal experience with Alzheimer's and dementia. She knows how important it is for them to have moments of joy throughout each day. Sherra especially enjoys music enrichment, art, baking, playing games, and one on one time with the residents. She also enjoys spending time with her family, her husband, and their two boys.
Jim McWhirter has been a builder and developer for over 30 years. Jim specializes in retirement communities and assisted living communities. He is an Oklahoma State Licensed Administrator and Registered Food Services Operator. He currently serves as a chairman of the Oklahoma Assisted Living Association as well as a Governor’s appointed member of the Long Term Care Advisory Board. Jim has been married to Lisa since 1972 and they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
Amber Holman is the Director of Nursing at Wellington Parke. Amber has over 20 years of experience in geriatric care and has been an LPN for over 15 years. Amber enjoys everyday she gets to spend at Wellington Parke because she considers it home. She loves the fact that everyone here shares the same goal, to give exceptional care to all of the residents. On her spare time, Amber loves spending time with her 3 children.
Ann has worked at Wellington Parke since 2009 in both marketing and reception. She has 20 years of experience in customer service and sales. Ann has a love and passion for working with people, and finds working at Wellington Parke very rewarding. She has been married to Richard since 1972. Together they have 2 children and 2 beautiful grandchildren, Hope and Sam. Ann enjoys antiquing, refinishing and interior decorating. Most of all she loves taking care of little Sam one day a week.
Araceli has a bachelors degree in Gerontology from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been a part of SeniorLivingOKC since 2014. Araceli has experience as a private caregiver, and an activities director. She believes her passion is in the hearts of our senior community. To Araceli, Wellington Parke is more than just a business, it is about the compassionate love and care we give our residents each day. On her spare time Araceli enjoys spending time with her family and especially enjoys spoiling her baby sister, niece, & nephew.
